What is a Will

A Will is your direction that after your death, which of your assets should be distributed to whom. The person who gets your assets is called a beneficiary or legatee. Since you will not be around to distribute, you should mention who will do this. That person is the Executor. To prove that the Will is made and signed by you, you need two people to witness this, called Witnesses. That’s it. It is not necessary for a Will to be on a stamp paper or notarised or registered. Making a Will really is simple.
